Grape Varieties – White Vines:

  • 80% Sémillon

Soil Type: Gravelly clay slopes

Climate:

The vineyard benefits from an oceanic influence.
In Sauternes, as in Fargues, the confluence of the Garonne and Ciron rivers creates a unique microclimate.

Morning mists are followed by bright sunshine — perfect conditions for the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea).

Harvest:

All harvesting is done by hand, with three to six successive selections (tries) to ensure only the ripest berries are picked.
